Context-Aware Access remediator provides more context for access denials
Edition: Available to Google Workspace Enterprise Plus, Education Plus, and Cloud Identity Premium customers
Who’s impacted: Admins and end-users
Admins using Context-Aware Access can now provide more information to end users when their access is blocked using the user remediation feature. This feature will help end users quickly understand what steps they need to take to re-access Google Workspace.
This feature is available to all CAA customers irrespective of their BCA partner integration. This feature also provides remediations for BCA partner attributes. Read more.

VirusTotal integration with the security investigation tool provides deeper insight into Chrome events
Edition: Available to Google Workspace Enterprise Plus, Education Standard, and Education Plus customers
Who’s impacted: Admins only
You can now use VirusTotal to view deeper insights on Chrome log events in the Security Investigation Tool. This ability is already available for Gmail event logs. Read more.

Improved email notifications for Google Calendar invites
Edition: Available to all Google Workspace customers, as well as legacy G Suite Basic and Business customers

We’re refreshing the layout of all emails sent by Google Calendar. By making key event details more accessible and useful, this update enables you to quickly find and act on an event’s most important information.
In addition, when you receive an email notifying you of a modification to an event, such as a time or location change, it will display both the old and updated information. Read more.

New admin controls for access to searchable and joinable spaces in Google Chat
Edition: Available to Google Workspace Business Plus, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Education Fundamentals, Education Plus, Education Standard, and the Teaching and Learning Upgrade Upgrade customers

Recently, we introduced the ability to create spaces that can be discoverable through search or can be joined via link. We’re now adding the ability for Admins to control which spaces users can search for or join. Read more.

Practice sets for Google Classroom, launching in beta soon
Edition: When available, practice sets will be available to Google Workspace Education Plus (formerly G Suite Enterprise for Education) and the Teaching and Learning Upgrade customers
Who’s impacted: End users
In March 2022, we announced a new tool for Google Classroom called practice sets, which will enable educators to transform new and existing content into engaging and interactive assignments. With autograding built in, teachers can receive performance insights and snapshots into student progress and use those insights to help inform future lesson plans.
This beta will be available soon and will be globally available (note: in English only) for Google Workspace for Education Plus and the Teaching and Learning Upgrade. Education leaders can use this form to express interest in the beta. Read more.

Cut, copy and paste files using keyboard shortcuts in Google Drive Web
Edition: Available to all Google Workspace customers, as well as legacy G Suite Basic and Business customers, and users with users with personal accounts when using Google Chrome
Who’s impacted: End users
You can now use familiar keyboard shortcuts Ctrl + C (or ⌘ + C on Mac), Ctrl + X and Ctrl + V to copy, cut and paste Google Drive files in your Chrome browser. This saves you time by allowing you to copy one or more files and move them to new locations in Drive, and across multiple tabs, with fewer clicks.
Additionally, a link to the file and its title will also be captured when copying a file, which allows you to easily paste them into a document or an email.
To help you more easily organize files in multiple locations without necessarily creating duplicate files, Ctrl + C, Ctrl + Shift + V will create shortcuts.
Lastly, you can open files or folders in a new tab using Ctrl+Enter, so that you can easily view multiple files at once, or use different tabs to more easily organize files between two different folder locations. Read more.

Easily see file locations in Google Drive
Edition: Available to all Google Workspace customers, as well as legacy G Suite Basic and Business customers

In addition to seeing a file’s name, owner, modification date, and size, we’ve added a column to include location information in the Search, Recent, Starred and Trash web views of Google Drive.
This feature makes it easier for you to differentiate between similarly-named files stored in different locations and find exactly what you’re looking for at a much faster rate. Read more.

New options for styling fonts in Google Forms
Edition: Available to all Google Workspace customers, as well as legacy G Suite Basic and Business customers. Available to users with personal Google Accounts

We’re adding additional font and sizing options, and the ability to customize header, subheader, and body text separately in Google Forms.
Why it matters
This highly requested feature allows you to easily change the look and feel of your forms. You can use different typefaces and sizes for different parts of your form. Read more.

Bringing Google Meet features to Google Duo for a single, integrated video solution
Edition: Available to all Google Workspace customers, as well as legacy G Suite Basic and Business customers
Who’s impacted: Admins and end-users
In the coming weeks, we’re adding all the Google Meet features to the Duo app, so users can easily schedule a video meeting at a time that works for everyone or continue using video calling to instantly connect with a person or group. Later this year, we’ll rename the Duo app to Google Meet, our single video communications service across Google that is available to everyone at no-cost.
There is no need to download a new app, if you are a Duo user, simply ensure you have the latest version of Duo installed on your device. Read more.

De-reverberation available for Google Meet
Edition: Available to Google Workspace Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Essentials, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Education Plus, the Teaching and Learning upgrade, and Frontline customers

De-reverberation will automatically filter out echos created by spaces with hard surfaces, such as a basement or a kitchen, helping to ensure optimal audio quality. Read more.

Improved experience for removing participants from Google Meet calls
Edition: Available to Google Workspace Enterprise Plus, Education Standard, and Education Plus customers
Who’s impacted: All end-users
We’re updating the user experience for removing participants from a meeting in Google Meet. Now, when a host or co-host removes a participant from a call, they will be prompted with additional actions. Specifically, they can opt to:
- Simply remove the user from the call
- Fill out an additional abuse report
- And/or block the user from rejoining
Note: We recommend using the “block” functionality only when absolutely necessary. Blocked users can be manually back to the call from the “People” panel. Read more.

Mark your important tasks with a star in Google Tasks
Edition: Available to all Google Workspace customers, as well as legacy G Suite Basic and Business customers
Who’s impacted: All end-users
In Google Tasks, you can mark important tasks with a star. This is similar to functionality that already exists in Gmail today. Additionally, you’ll be able to view all of your starred items across various tasks lists in the new starred view.
We hope this update makes it easier for you to prioritize your tasks and quickly navigate to important tasks across your projects. Read more.

Copy your Client-side encrypted Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides files
Edition: Available to Google Workspace Enterprise Plus, Education Standard and Education Plus customers
Who’s impacted: All end-users
If you have client-side encryption enabled for Docs, Sheets and Slides, you can now make a copy of an existing encrypted document, spreadsheet or presentation. Encryption will be preserved when copies of the file are made. This feature makes it easier to leverage existing content as a baseline for new encrypted Docs, Sheets, or Slides. Read more.
