Microsoft 365 Apps
Microsoft 365 apps now support OpenDocument Format 1.4
Date: Jul 2, 2024
Availability: This feature is available in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to Current Channel users running:
- Windows: Version 2404 (Build 17531.20078) or later
- Mac: Version 16.84 (Build 24041420) or later
ODF 1.4 adds support for a number of new features. With this change, ODF files in Microsoft 365 apps will now save only to the ODF 1.4 format. Read more.

Set custom sound notifications in Microsoft Teams
Date: Jul 2, 2024
Availability: To use this feature, you must be a member of the Teams Public Preview or Microsoft 365 Targeted release and use the new Teams client for Windows of web.

Turn notifications on or off for a post in a channel in Microsoft Teams

Availability: To use these new features, you must be a member of the Teams Public Preview or Microsoft 365 Targeted release and use the new Teams client for Windows or macOS. Other meeting participants aren’t required to be members of the Teams Public Preview.

- Mac: Version 16.87 (Build 24070110) or later

Summarize longer Word documents using Copilot
- Windows: Version 2310 (Build 16919.20000) or later
- Mac: Version 16.78 (Build 23082801) or later
- Android: Build 16.0.16827.10000 or later
- iOS: Version 2.78 (Build 23082904) or later
You can now summarize a document that contains approximately up to 80,000 words (depending on language), about 4 times the previous limit! Read more.

Revamp and refine selected text using Draft with Copilot in Word
