GoPomelo Showcases Enterprise AI and Geospatial Innovation at Google Maps Platform 2026 JAPAC Partner Summit

GoPomelo was invited to participate in the Google Maps Platform 2026 JAPAC Partner Summit and was the only partner selected to present an Enterprise customer success story during the event. The presentation focused on the integration of geospatial technology and AI in enterprise scenarios, highlighting emerging approaches to real-world deployment across Southeast Asia.

As AI capabilities continue to converge with geospatial technologies, map platforms are evolving beyond traditional information-query tools into intelligent infrastructure that can support real-time operations and business decision-making. Across industries, organizations are placing increasing importance on location data systems that are accurate, dynamic, and continuously optimized, particularly in areas such as customer service, logistics fulfillment, urban governance, and emergency response.

At the summit, GoPomelo shared a last-mile delivery digital transformation project developed in collaboration with a leading retailer in Thailand. The customer had initially attributed address drift in last-mile delivery to “bad data.” However, a deeper assessment revealed that the root cause was not a single data issue, but implementation gaps across the full workflow, including front-end interaction, address parsing, API governance, and operational feedback mechanisms.

In response, GoPomelo adopted a holistic approach to the entire location data lifecycle, spanning data collection, standardization, utilization, and feedback learning. This enabled the development of a comprehensive solution covering front-end validation, address standardization, route planning, and closed-loop optimization. The project established a clear path toward significantly reducing address drift, improving fulfillment efficiency and customer experience, and creating a strong foundation for the next phase of AI-powered pre-processing and post-processing capabilities.

Beyond retail logistics, GoPomelo has also continued to expand its work at the intersection of AI and geospatial innovation. The company recently earned second place in the Google AI Mapathon. As Google’s first AI competition jointly organized by Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Maps Platform (GMP), the event brought together 12 leading partners across Asia Pacific and Japan and was evaluated by more than 40 AI experts, reflecting both strong professional rigor and regional significance.

GoPomelo’s award-winning submission, the Thailand Flood Command Center, combined Google Vertex AI, Gemini, Google Maps Platform, and agent-based capabilities to create an intelligent disaster response system. Powered by real-time inputs from river sensors, satellites, and weather data sources, the solution is designed to automatically identify risks, plan evacuation routes, locate threatened critical infrastructure, and rapidly deliver decision outputs to frontline responders. By doing so, it supports a shift in disaster management from reactive reporting to proactive coordination.

From enterprise logistics optimization to innovation in public safety and urban governance, GoPomelo continues to demonstrate how cloud, data, mapping, and AI can be integrated into practical business and public-sector scenarios. As Digital China’s key business platform in international markets, GoPomelo has built a strong presence in Southeast Asia and maintains close collaboration with the Google ecosystem, delivering integrated cloud, data, and AI solutions to customers across the region. Looking ahead, GoPomelo will continue to support enterprises’ digital, intelligent, and global growth by helping bring innovative technologies into practical application in international markets.
