Google has unlocked Hangouts Meet enterprise features for all existing G Suite customers

Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, many organizations and schools are allowing their employees and students to work or study remotely. In order to respond to the spread of COVID-19, Google has enabled Hangouts Meet features, previously only available in G Suite Enterprise, for all G Suite Editions.

Google will start rolling out free access to Hangouts Meet advance features including:

• The ability to record meetings and save them to Google Drive
• Larger meetings, for up to 250 participants per call
• Live streaming for up to 100,000 viewers within a domain 

The features above are generally only available in G Suite Enterprise and G Suite Enterprise for Education. Google has now enabled these features without any additional cost until 1 July, 2020

Update! Google Meet advanced features extended to Sept 30

Google also promises to continue developing infrastructure for better performance and support larger scale due to the demand of Hangout Meets.
